Questions about this product
PDLC or PNLC - which one?
PDLC covers 90% of projects at the best price. Choose PNLC when the off-state must look evenly white in bright rooms (showrooms, clinics, high-end offices) or when ON-state clarity is critical (90% vs 85-92%).
Can I get grey PNLC?
PNLC is milky white. For a tinted look, our Grey PDLC grade (39.6% ON, solar control) is the right choice.
Do all films run on the same transformer?
PDLC runs on AC 60V/48V; PNLC accepts AC 25-80V. We match the transformer to the film at quotation - one more thing you do not need to worry about.
Can one factory really cover all these products?
Yes - ITO roll-to-roll coating, liquid crystal filling, lamination, cutting, busbar and power-on testing all happen in our Shenzhen plant. That is why grades and lead times stay consistent across the range.
What is the difference between the four PDLC grades?
Only the clear-state clarity and tint: Clear 85%, Super Clear 89%, Ultra Clear 92%, and Grey 39.6% for solar control. Opaque-state privacy (93-95% haze) is identical across grades.
Which product for a retail storefront that projects video?
PNLC - it doubles as a rear-projection screen when switched opaque, with the brightest and most even white of the range.

Two ways to buy our smart film
Smart film in sheet - finished
Pre-cut to your exact measurements, with busbars and lead wires factory-finished before shipping. Unpack, mount, connect a power transformer and test it straight away - a finished product, ideal for beginners and end users.
Smart film in roll - semi-finished
Supplied as raw roll without busbars. You cut to size and finish the busbars yourself - lower cost per square meter and maximum flexibility in sizing, which is why large buyers prefer it. It requires cutting and busbar-making skills; we provide full guidance for quantity customers.
Which one should I choose?
Buying one piece or a few windows? Take sheets - ready to use out of the box. Buying 100+ m² or feeding a production line? Rolls cut your material cost and we train your team on busbar work. Not sure? Tell us your quantity and we will quote both ways.
Rolled, protected, export-ready
- Every piece rolled on a core - film never ships flat-folded, so no crease marks
- Busbar taped and sealed - transparent protective tape over the electrode edge, leads fixed away from the film
