Liquid crystals between two glass layers
Powered off, the liquid crystal molecules are in disordered array and the glass is opaque. Powered on, molecules align and the glass turns clear - or dim anywhere in between with a dimmer controller. The PDLC core is our own film, so panel quality is controlled from ITO coating to final wiring.

Questions about this product
Is smart glass heavier than normal glass?
Slightly - it is two tempered panes with the PDLC interlayer. Your glazier should handle it like standard laminated glass of the same thickness.
Can it be double-glazed (IGU)?
Yes, we produce switchable IGU units on request for exterior windows requiring thermal insulation.
What happens on power failure?
The glass goes opaque - the safe, private default state. Reverse-mode film (clear when off) is available for special requirements.
What glass thickness and colors are available?
Panels are built from 5-10 mm tempered glass; clear, grey, bronze and low-iron tinted interlayer combinations are possible. Tell us the application and we spec the build-up.
Can you make shapes, holes and cut-outs?
Yes - round corners, drilled holes for handles and hinges, and custom shapes are all cut before lamination. Send your drawings with the quote request.
How is smart glass shipped overseas?
Panels are crated vertically on A-frames with foam separators. Glass is heavy, so sea freight is usually most economical - we quote EXW, FOB and DDP options.
How long does production take?
Typically 7-15 days after drawing approval, depending on glass sourcing and quantity. Urgent orders - tell us the deadline and we confirm feasibility first.
