At its core, animated PDLC film is the same switchable smart film we use across our range, but produced with masked zones that form artwork. Where ordinary switchable film goes uniformly clear or frosted, ours leaves clear "windows" and creates frosted "ink" in the shapes you specify, so a logo or message can show on demand.
Because the artwork is part of the film itself, there is nothing to peel, fade or collect dust. You get a permanent, high-clarity graphic that toggles between invisible and visible, and can be re-designed for new campaigns by simply changing the pattern layout at the production stage.
It installs exactly like our other films: laminated between two panes of glass for new partitions, or applied as a self-adhesive layer onto existing flat glass. Either way the result is a single, seamless pane that doubles as signage and privacy at once.

How animated PDLC works
PDLC (polymer-dispersed liquid crystal) film contains millions of microscopic crystal droplets suspended in a polymer layer. With power applied, the droplets align and light passes straight through, so the glass is clear.
Remove the power and the droplets scatter light in every direction, turning the film milky and opaque. By masking selected areas during production we leave clear windows and create frosted ink, so logos and patterns appear only in the state you choose.
