What drives the price
Four factors: area (bigger pieces use the roll more efficiently), grade (Clear is standard; Ultra Clear and Grey carry a small premium; PNLC is ~10x PDLC), shape (irregular cuts cost more than rectangles) and quantity (wholesale pricing starts at just a few square meters). Factory-direct pricing typically lands 30-60% below branded retail film.

DIY installation: honestly assessed
A handy person can install self-adhesive film - it is a dry peel-and-stick job like a large screen protector: clean the glass, peel the backing, lay the film, squeegee from center outward to push out air. The electrical connection is simple (busbar wire to transformer output) but must be done by a certified electrician.
The two things DIY installers get wrong: undersized transformers (we size it for you in the quote) and cutting on site (order exact sizes - factory tolerance is ±2 mm, and the busbar needs re-finishing after any cut, as shown in our installation guide).
